TrueDEK Shower Bases are now Tuff Form & TriForm

Earlier this year we renamed ourselves AKW Resource Center to better align with our colleagues across the AKW Holdings Group, who are tried, tested and trusted experts in accessible shower solutions operating over two continents.

Now we’re retiring the TrueDEK branding of our curbless shower bases for the very same reason, so that these fantastic products that are loved the world over, can be known in North America by the same brand names as they are in Europe.

Nothing else about our range of barrier-free shower bases is changing, just their brand names, so scroll on to find out what your favorite shower bases are now called…

 

 

TrueDEK Classic Shower Bases are now Tuff Form Shower Bases

• Made from lightweight yet durable compression molded glass-reinforced plastic (GRP)
• 12 sizes available; increase the size with AKW Pitch Extension Panels (formerly TruePITCH Extension)
• Can support up to 840lbs on 16″ o.c. joists when supplemented with perimeter and drain hole blocking
• Quickly and easily install on wooden engineered joist systems, sub-floor or concrete
• Cut and drill as needed with standard power tools; can be trimmed on all sides
• Waffle design on underside of base reinforces strength while reducing weight
• Pre-sloped with 4 gradient planes
• Off-center drain hole helps to avoid joists
• Pre-drilled, countersunk pilot holes along perimeter for easy installation
• Complete with an AKW Tuff Form Drain (formerly Classic Drains) and Waterproofing Kit (a la carte)
• Finish with tile, stone or weldable vinyl flooring

• Rotate octagonal drain plate with off-center drain hole to avoid joists or obstructions

• Large size – 72″ x 48″, ideal for ADA compliant shower
• Can support up to 840lbs on 16″ o.c. joists when supplemented with perimeter and drain hole blocking
